What does the Koala Warranty cover, and for how long?Updated 2 hours ago

Every Koala product is covered by the Koala Warranty against manufacturing and material defects. How long that cover lasts depends on what you bought.

Mattresses	10 years
Furniture (sofas, sofa beds, bed bases, tables, storage, outdoor)	5 years
Homewares and bedding (including pillows, protectors, duvets, sheets)	1 year
Electrical components in any product	1 year

The warranty starts on the day your product is delivered. It belongs to you as the original purchaser, can't be transferred if you sell or give the product away, and applies while you're living in Australia.

What's covered
Defects in materials or workmanship that show up during the warranty period, provided the product has been used as intended and cared for following our care guidelines. If a claim is valid, we'll repair or replace the product. Where the original is discontinued, we may offer a similar alternative.

What's not covered
The full terms are in the warranty documents linked below, but the main exclusions are:

• Normal wear and tear, including minor pilling, puddling, fading, stains, discolouration and the normal softening of foams over time
• Mattress indentations of less than 25mm
• Natural characteristics of materials, such as variation in timber grain, colour, weave, or the shedding of natural fibres
• Damage from moisture, heat, cold, mould or water, or from using an indoor product outdoors
• Damage caused by pets, improper cleaning, modifications, misuse, or by third-party products (for example, another retailer's bed base)
• Products used commercially
• Products bought from anywhere other than Koala, or bought as seconds (Koala Second Home has its own warranty)

Koala Second Home
Products from Koala Second Home carry a 2 year warranty on large furniture and mattresses, and 6 months on homewares and accessories. Imperfections pointed out at the time of purchase aren't covered.

Your consumer rights
The Koala Warranty sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law, not in place of them.
