This Cot is suitable for newborn babies to toddlers up to an age of 3.5 years old. Keep in mind that little ones grow at different rates, so when they are observed attempting to climb out of the cot it is recommended they sleep in a toddler bed.
The higher Cot setting is designed for newborn babies. Once your baby is able to sit up on their own, you should adjust to the lower level.
The cot does not have a drop side. The platform can be adjusted to a low or high position without dropping the side rails.
In line with the Red Nose safe sleep guidelines, we do not recommend that anything be placed along the sides of the cot that might impact airflow. Please refer to the safe sleep guidelines.
If you would like to use another brand, the recommended mattress size is 1320mm long by 700mm wide. It should not exceed more than 130mm in thickness. Make sure the mattress fits perfectly and does not leave gaps around the edges.
We do not recommend painting the cot because it poses a chemical safety risk and will also void the warranty.
Both sides are fixed and can not be removed to function as a toddler bed. The Joey bed base is the perfect next step for a child transitioning out of a cot.
All cot components have been thoroughly tested for the presence of harmful chemicals such as VOC, lead, barium, cadmium and meets the Australian Standards.
All the side rails are made from solid timber so they may dent but will not break. If your child is biting the cot during teething, consider investing in a teething guard which can be purchased online.
