We highly recommend always using a rug with an underlay as it offers stability and durability. This will help to prevent the risk of rug movement, bunching of the rug, protect timber flooring, and to extend the life of your rug.

Can I put the rug on my carpet?

Different textures in carpets can make the rug appear wrinkled. This is because textured carpets do not provide much support for the rug. This can be highlighted when heavy items (such as dining tables) are placed on top of the rug.

Can I put my rug under furniture?

Yes, however due to the rugs being handmade, care must be taken to rotate the rug occasionally. Avoid placing a chair with castor wheels (such as an office chair), as it can get caught in the weave and damage the rug.

Are robot vacuums safe for rugs?

Most robot vacuums can go over rugs, depending on the make and model of the vacuum and the type of rug they are operating on. Rugs with tassels, high loop weaves or loose weaves can get damaged - please ensure these rugs are set with a "no go" zone.

Our jute rugs and recycled polyester rugs are pet-friendly, but not 100% pet proof. Excessive scratching or chewing can damage your rug. Little accidents must be attended to immediately to prevent staining, odours and mould building up.
